If you know me, you know that I love to get outside and ride my mountain bike. What some of you may not know is that I have a close friend that suffers from ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease). Over the years, I have witnessed, in a small way, the impact the disease has on this individual and their family and my heart goes out to anyone suffering with ALS. My dear friend who suffers with ALS is such an inspiration to me of faith and hope. I have been so blessed because of my association with him and each member of his wonderful family.
So, this year I'm trying something new. I've decided to try out more spandex and road bike 100 miles in Tucson on Nov 22 in support of the non-profit charity, ALS Arizona! That is right....more spandex in support of a good cause. I'm not sure exactly what I'm getting myself into here, but I know that my good friend will be on my mind while I go riding.
Please join with me in pledging support of ALS Arizona and get us another peddle stroke closer to ending ALS!!
